Hello! Welcome to this simple page telling you about the SECRET Chrimbo ‘Crophone Crowdfund to get the Travelling Sisters some head mics to take their production to the next level. This will allow them to play to more people, in more venues, and no doubt they will come up with new ideas for new characters as a result, too.
I am Jack, Ell’s boyfriend, Lucy’s cousin, and Laura’s friend. Having head mics is something I have heard the girls talk about a lot, although good ones are not cheap. Entry level is about £150/250 AUD per set (so £450 / 750 AUD in total), although I’d be thrilled to be able to get them something of higher quality.
Off the top of my head, having these head mics would enable the sisters to:
- Perform to larger audiences
- Perform in larger venues
- Do more of their repertoire in noisy atmospheres (i.e. cabarets)
- Have hands free (vs hand held microphones)
- Open up new creative options (e.g. dynamic range, off stage dialogue etc)
As a Christmas gift to the girls, wouldn’t it be great if we could get them a set, maybe even in time for Woodford Folk Festival?
